Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) For Nervous System Regulation

Best for: Individuals seeking a gentle body-first approach to emotional regulation — particularly supportive for those navigating chronic stress, trauma recovery, anxiety, neurodivergence or high-performance pressures .

Format: Personalised guided protocol to meet your specific needs, either in person or remotely from the comfort of your own home

A gentle, science-backed intervention to support nervous system regulation, resilience, and emotional clarity

The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is a therapeutic, polyvagal-informed auditory intervention that helps regulate the autonomic nervous system—reducing reactivity, restoring emotional balance, and enhancing the capacity for connection.

Delivered via specially filtered music designed to deliver “cues of safety” directly to the nervous system, SSP supports clients in moving out of chronic fight, flight, or freeze states and into a space of greater calm, presence, and internal safety.

SSP may be particularly supportive for individuals experiencing chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, low mood, or disconnection. It is also well suited for those navigating recovery from trauma, or seeking to strengthen emotional regulation alongside other wellbeing practices.

At Strong Horizons, SSP is offered as both a standalone programme and as a complement to ongoing coaching, depending on your needs and goals. You'll be guided throughout by a certified practitioner, with a personalised listening plan shaped around your pace and readiness.
